In October 2014 he was searched. Arrested on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation and preparation for violent seizure of power for membership in Hizb ut-Tahrir. On 4 February 2016, sentenced to five and a half years in a strict regime colony. He was released in March 2020.
