A resident of Yakutia. Before the case of discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces was initiated, Baryshev had been sued under articles on theft with unlawful entry into a dwelling (point "a" of part 3 of article 158 of the Criminal Code) and on evasion of administrative supervision or failure to comply with court-ordered restrictions (part 2 of article 314.1 of the Criminal Code). The Megino-Kangalassky court, which passed sentence in the defamation case, said in a statement that Baryshev's last conviction had not been expunged or cancelled. On 21 April 2023, Baryshev was sentenced in the defamation
