On 9 November 2022, the court found Drozdov guilty on the cases related to drug dealing, and the "fakes" case was referred back to the prosecutor's office, considering that the charges required further development: in particular, it stated that Drozdov shares pacifist views, but had disseminated false information with the motive of hatred towards military men. The Court of Appeal confirmed this decision. On 29 June 2023, the Court of Cassation cancelled the return of the "fakes" case to the prosecutor's office and decided to send it for a new review.
