Radif Basyrov

A resident of Kazan. He was detained on 16 October 2018 and later taken into custody on charges of involvement in the activities of a terrorist organisation. The case was initiated in connection with the activities of the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir, which has been recognised as a terrorist organisation, although, in the opinion of a number of experts, this designation is groundless, as there is no evidence proving a connection between the party and any terrorist activities.
