Rakhmiddin Kamolov
Biography
Resident of Moscow, activist of the Society of Political Emigrants of Central Asia and Yerdam, a human rights organization assisting refugees from Central Asia. Detained on March 21, 2017, on suspicion of organizing activities of a terrorist organization. On December 18, sentenced to 16 years in a strict regime colony.
In June 2018, after arroving at Penal Colony 6 in the Tver region, Kamolov was repeatedly placed in solitary confinement, as well as in cell-type premises and single cell-type rooms. In mid-2019, he was transferred to Penal Colony 7 where he was similarly placed a single cell-type room. Later he

In mid-2019, he was transferred to Penal Colony 7 where he was similarly placed a single cell-type room. Later he was sent back to Penal Colony 6 and promptly sent to a treatment and correctional facility. In February 2020, Kamolov returned to Penal Colony 6 and immediately sent to solitary confinement and then to cell-type premises.
On December 12, 2023, the court decided to transfer Kamolov to prison.
On October 15, 2024, Kamolov's only son, eight-year-old Khalid, died after being hit by a car.
