Ramis Nurgaliev

A resident of Sterlitamak (Bashkortostan), left Russia. A case was opened against him for spreading deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces due to a publication about violence and torture against peaceful Ukrainian civilians. The case includes references to the fact that Nurgaliev, while in the United States, participated in rallies in support of "'political prisoners in the Russian Federation' as well as other Russian and Belarusian opposition activists who oppose the current government." In September 2025, the case went to trial. On 20 November 2025, Nurgaliev was sentenced in absentia to five and a half years.
