Biography
He was detained on 12 July 2019. According to the official version, a bag of heroin was found in Maisigov's possession during the search. At first, Maysigov signed the text of the interrogation with a testimony that he had bought heroin from a stranger two or three weeks earlier and kept it at his place. However, during the subsequent interrogation he retracted this testimony, saying that he gave it under torture, and the drugs were planted on him. On 16 July he was taken into custody by court order. On 19 November he was placed under house arrest.

In January 2020, Maysigov was charged with calls for separatism. Maysigov initially denied involvement in the imputed texts, but then admitted guilt and agreed to a special procedure for consideration of the case.
On 16 September 2020, he was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony for drug possession and was taken into custody in the courtroom.
On 19 January 2021, Maysigov was reported to have been acquitted in the case of calls for a violation of territorial integrity after the decriminalisation of the corresponding article of the Criminal Code.
