Biography
On the morning of 4 March 2011, Bashirov's apartment was searched by operatives of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, North-West Federal District Department, and the District Centre for Combating Extremism. Following that, he was declared a suspect and released on his own recognizance after interrogation. On 11 March 2011, Bashirov was charged under of article 282.2 part 2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organisation). In his testimony, he claimed that he had ceased his involvement with the Nationalist Bolshevist Party after its ban in 2007, affiliating himself with The Other Russia group instead.

On 28 December 2012, he was sentenced to pay a fine of 150,000 rubles, but by the time the sentence came due, it had already expired, so there was no outstanding obligation for Bashirov to make the payment.
