Rinat Kiramov

On 9 November 2021, he was detained after a search. The next day, the court sent him to custody on the case of organising activities of an extremist organisation in connection with his involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, attracting new supporters. In August 2022, Kiramov was also charged with financing extremist activities. On 17 April 2023, he was sentenced to seven years in a general regime colony.
