Resident of Moscow. On 8 June 2025, he was detained and then sent to arrest under the administrative article on petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences) for 15 days. On the day of the end of the term, he was detained again, formally in another district of Moscow, and then arrested again for 15 days under the same article. Later he was taken into custody on charges of espionage. His son Sergei was taken into custody with him, charged with high treason. Before that, he was also arrested twice under the article on petty hooliganism.
