Ruslan Shaveddinov

Shaveddinov is a former project manager at the FBK (Anti-Corruption Foundation). In the past, he was a spokesman for the #Navalny2018 election campaign and host of NavalnyLIVE. In December 2019, he was detained, searched, then sent to a conscription center. From there he was sent to Arkhangelsk region to the Novaya Zemlya archipelago for military conscription service. The court ruled (https://mbk-news.appspot.com/news/otklonil-apellyaciyu-shaveddinov/) the oppositionist's conscription to be lawful, despite the draft board lacking information about his health. At the military unit, the command forbade other conscripts from communicating with Shaveddinov.

In September 2021, it was revealed that a case of participation in the activities of an extremist community had been opened against Shaveddinov due to his involvement in various organizations associated with Alexei Navalny. In April 2022, Shaveddinov was declared wanted.

In August 2022, it became known that another case been brought against Shaveddinov for disseminating knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces and public justification of terrorism. In April 2025, Shaveddinov was declared wanted again, and it was revealed that he was also being accused of failing to fulfill his duties as a "foreign agent". In a statement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs he was referred to as "a traitor of the Motherland".
