Rustem Virati

A resident of the Kherson region of Ukraine. On 16 March 2023, he was detained on the case of participation in the Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan, but was released the next day. He was later detained again and then taken into custody on charges of participation in an illegal armed formation. Virati was sentenced to eight years in a strict regime penal colony. On 10 February 2025, it was reported that he died in prison.
