Sergei Spartesnyi

Head of the turbine department shift at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. On 18 July 2023, he was abducted. It later became known that criminal proceedings for espionage had been initiated against him: according to the investigation, he transmitted to the Security Service of Ukraine information about the makes and state registration numbers of vehicles used by Russian law enforcement officers. On 20 September 2024, Spartesnyi was sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment in a strict-regime penal colony.
