Biography
Serhiy Litvinov is a citizen of Ukraine. He was detained in August 2014 when he travelled to the territory of Russia to have his teeth treated. He was accused of involvement in the mass murder and rape of civilians in the Luhansk region. According to him, he has pleaded guilty and testified with details through torture. In November 2015, this charge was dropped, but a new episode appeared in his case - about the robbery of Russian citizen Alexander Lysenko in the Luhansk region. He was accused of involvement in the mass murder and rape of civilians in the Luhansk region. According to him, he has pleaded guilty and testified with details through torture. In November 2015, this charge was dropped, but a new episode appeared in his case - about the robbery of Russian citizen Alexander Lysenko in the Luhansk region. According to the investigation, he and two other unidentified Ukrainian law enforcers, had stolen the Opel Frontera and UAZ 452 cars from Lysenko in the summer of 2014 in the village of Konstantinovka, Stanichno-Luhansk district, and had beaten Lysenko himself. Ukrainian border guards said that Lysenko was not on Ukrainian territory at that time.
In April 2016, he was sentenced to eight and a half years in a strict regime colony.
In March 2019, he was transferred to a colony in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. He was released in July 2019 after being pardoned by the President of Ukraine.
