In June 2014, he was detained during searches in apartments and dormitories carried out by officers of the FSB, the Center for Countering Extremism, the 'Grad' special unit and riot police. Remanded in custody. On March 30, 2016, he was sentenced to twelve and a half years in a maximum security colony.
