Server Bariyev

A Crimean Tatar activist, Bariyev works as a dental technician. In January 2019 a search was conducted at his home as part of a criminal case against the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir, recognised as a terrorist organisation and banned in Russia.

On 6 April 2022, his place of residence was searched again. Bariyev was then taken away from his home, presumably to Simferopol. On 7 April, he was charged with calls to terrorism and released under recognisance not to leave the country. On 21 July 2022, Bariyev was sentenced to a fine of 360 thousand rubles.
