Suren Gazarian

A resident of the Krasnodar region and an environmentalist, he was charged with damaging the fence of a state-owned property, allegedly the dacha of the governor of the Krasnodar region. On June 20, 2012, he was sentenced to three years of probation. Gazaryan left Russia, fearing further persecution, as a criminal case was opened against him for allegedly threatening to kill a security guard at another state-owned property, supposedly "Putin's dacha."
