Biography
A resident of Moscow. Late in the evening of 26 November 2013, he was detained together with twelve other people during a raid on the hostel where he was living at the time. Accused of preparing for a terrorist attack in the cinema "Kirgizia". Akhtakhanov's interrogation report appears in the case, from which it follows that he allegedly knew that the hostel guests were preparing for a terrorist attack. At the trial, Akhtakhanov stated that he did not say that. He signed the report without reading it, trusting the investigator, who promised to conclude a pre-trial agreement with him and

Akhtakhanov's interrogation report appears in the case, from which it follows that he allegedly knew that the hostel guests were preparing for a terrorist attack. At the trial, Akhtakhanov stated that he did not say that. He signed the report without reading it, trusting the investigator, who promised to conclude a pre-trial agreement with him and separate the materials against him in exchange for the necessary testimony given as a secret witness. The signature of Akhtakhanov's lawyer was found to be forged.
Human rights activists believe that there is no convincing evidence of Akhtakhanov's involvement in the crime; in their opinion, the persecution was part of a campaign to pressure Muslims.
On 22 April 2016, he was sentenced to 11 years in a strict regime colony.
Presumably, he was released in November 2024.
