Tatiana Piskareva

A resident of Orel, the wife of a man who is being prosecuted for involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, attracting new supporters. The first search of their house took place on December 9th, 2020. In October of 2021, the case against Piskareva for participation in the activities of an extremist organisation was severed into a separate case. She was put under recognisance not to leave the country. On March 4th 2024, Piskareva was sentenced to two and a half years of community work.
