Vadim Guzachev

Resident of Orenburg. Since the beginning of 2024 he has been talking about helping stray animals in the "Zoosaschenie-zooopomoshchu" online page. After the flooding in the spring of 2024 in Orenburg region, he participated in the rescue of animals trapped in the flood zone.

In 2010, another person with a fully matching name was sentenced to eight months in a penal colony in a case of unlawful deprivation of liberty and coercion to give false testimony. The verdict says that Guzachev illegally held a woman in a flat, seeking a meeting with her daughter. He then threatened to "burn [her], her family members and their property, pour acid on them and bury them" and demanded that she change her testimony on the episode of unlawful deprivation of liberty. On two occasions he set fire on the landing outside the woman's flat. In 2016, he was fined 140,000 rubles in a hate speech case, details are unknown. In 2017, he was sentenced to three years in prison in a case of causing serious harm to health because he stabbed a man with a knife during a fight in a hostel.

In 2024, a case was brought against Guzachev for spreading deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces. Tatyana Romanova, head of the autonomous non-profit organisation We Found You a Friend, publicly drew attention to Guzachev's anti-war posts. Guzachev writes that the application to law enforcement authorities was filed against him by Vyacheslav Antonkin, whom he calls Romanova's flatmate. The local newspaper called Antonkin the head of the animal catching service "We found you a friend". Guzachev writes that he had a conflict with the couple because of his posts about "their vivisection activities". In early June, on his online page he accused Romanova of going to enforce a new regional law on killing stray dogs. At the same time, she publicly opposed the law and, after winning a capture contract, said she would not put dogs to sleep. Romanova accompanied screenshots of Guzachev's posts about the war in Ukraine with the words: "At a time when our boys are defending the freedom and honour of our country with their lives and blood, this rotter allows the spread of fakes about our army, encourages paedophiles, hates Russia and insults the President". In October 2024, the case went to court. On 17 January 2025, the court dismissed the case due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
