Biography
A native of Dagestan, he resided in Moscow. In 2012, he was convicted in a case of illegal transportation of ammunition, claiming that it had been planted on him.
He was detained on 7 May 2014 and taken into custody. Initially the case was initiated under the article on illegal possession of explosives, in October the charge of preparation to commit a terrorist act was added. His flatmates testified against Huseykhanov, who was initially taken into custody, but was later sentenced to six months' imprisonment and released after serving his sentence. When questioned, Huseykhanov said that the explosives had been planted

Human rights activists consider the case falsified and regard it as part of a campaign to pressure Muslims.
On 10 March 2016, Huseykhanov was sentenced to 11 years in a strict regime penal colony.
Presumably, he was released in May 2025.
