Vasily Alekhno

Resident of Cherkessk. On 24 November 2014, he was detained as part of a case of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the activities of the Islamic movement Tablighi Jamaat. Its adherents are persecuted solely because of their religious activities. On 14 May 2015, Alekhno was sentenced to a year of suspended sentence.
