Vladimir Maladyka

On 1 October 2020, Maladyka's house was searched and he was detained. The next day, the court decided to take him into custody on the case of organising activities of an extremist organisation in connection with involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, attracting new supporters. On 30 March 2021 he was transferred to house arrest. In November, the preventive measure was changed to a ban on certain actions. On 6 October 2022, sentenced to six years in a general regime colony.
