Biography
A resident of Kaliningrad. A case was opened against him for calling for terrorism and activities against the security of the state. According to the law enforcers' version, he ran several Telegram channels in which he published posts about the war in Ukraine. Two publications in support of the Freedom of Russia legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps, as well as calls to finance the Ukrainian armed forces, became the reason for the prosecution.

As a result, Matyushechkin was also charged with bribery on a particularly large scale. Since 11 October, he has been in custody for the second case.
On 24 March 2025, the court sentenced the Kaliningrad resident to eight years in a general regime colony and a fine of 6.2 million rubles on the charge of bribery. On appeal, his sentence was reduced to five years.
On 2 October Matyushechkin was sentenced on the case of calls to terrorism and anti-state activity - as a result, he was increased to ten years of imprisonment.
