A resident of the Moscow region. On 13 November 2024, he was taken into custody on charges of disseminating knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces, based on posts on Odnoklassniki about the explosion on the Crimean Bridge, Russian army strikes on civilian targets in Ukraine, and the killing of children in Donbas.

He was held in a temporary detention centre for more than 13 days. According to his daughter, on the day of his arrest, they received a doorbell call under the pretext of a search for refugees from Syria. Shortly afterwards, armed men broke down the door, beat her father with a rifle butt, and jumped on him. They then handcuffed him using two pairs of handcuffs, causing his hands to turn blue almost immediately. She stated that her father was covered in blood and unable to see because blood was running into his eyes.

On 4 September, during a court hearing, the judge ordered Osipov’s removal from the courtroom until the end of the proceedings after he demanded medical assistance. On 8 October, he was taken by ambulance from the court to hospital with hypertension, but was forcibly returned to the detention facility later the same day. During the hearing on 6 November, Osipov again requested an ambulance. The medical team that arrived did not take his cardiogram, as court staff forbade them from removing him from the courtroom. Osipov stated that he was not ready to deliver his final statement that day and asked for the hearing to be postponed, but the judge refused and deprived him of his right to make a final statement.

On 10 November, the court sentenced the man to six and a half years in a general-regime colony.
