On 5 September 2025, he was arrested for 15 days under an administrative article on disorderly conduct in Naro-Fominsk, a town southwest of Moscow. On 22 September, he was arrested for 14 days on the same charges in Krasnogorsk, a town adjacent to the north-west of Moscow. The next arrest on the same charges (duration unknown) took place on 7 October in the south of Moscow, in Troitsk. Probably, in the second half of October Prokopenko was also arrested, but there is no information about it. On 6 November, he was arrested for 14 days on the same charges in

On 5 December, Prokopenko was arrested on the same charges in Sergiev Posad (about 50 kilometres east of Dmitrov), duration unknown. On 18 December he was arrested again in Troitsk (130 kilometres between the two), time limit also unknown. On 2 January 2026, Prokopenko was arrested under the same article for 15 days at the Dorogomilovsky District Court in Moscow, located about 43 and a half kilometres from Troitsk. He was then detained under a criminal case of high treason and taken into custody on 20 January 2026.
