A resident of Smolensk. On 6 April 2022 it became known about the initiation of a case against him for spreading deliberately false information about the Armed Forces because of the replacement of price tags in the shop with anti-war inscriptions. Zavyalov was placed under house arrest. Initially the case was brought under Part 1 of the Criminal Code 207.3, but then experts found a motive of political hatred in Zavyalov's actions, and the charge was reclassified to Part 2. On 30 May 2025, the sentence was appealed, and the case was sent for a new trial.
