At the time of the search in the criminal case, Kraval was serving a six-day administrative arrest in a special reception centre under the article on evasion of compulsory labour (part 4 of article 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Offences). Later he was taken into custody as part of a criminal case. In December 2022, Kraval was transferred to house arrest. He was reclassified the charge to false reporting of a terrorist act to destabilise the authorities (part 3 of article 207 of the Criminal Code). In May 2023, Kraval was again taken into custody. Back in March, the prosecution petitioned to transfer Kraval to a pre-trial detention centre, claiming that he had violated the conditions of house arrest several times - in particular, approached the Palace of Culture, where he had previously defaced a banner. Then the court rejected this motion. On June, 6, 2023, Kraval was sentenced to six years and three months in a general regime colony.
