Vyacheslav Stepanov

On 12 April 2013, the house was searched, Jehovah's Witnesses literature was seized, and a case was opened for incitement to religious hatred based on statements made during community meetings. On 4 March 2016, the court acquitted Stepanov. The court ruling stated, inter alia, that the experts "substituted the objects submitted for examination with objects they found themselves". On 26 May 2016, the court of appeal sent the case for a new review. On 21 June 2017, the Sergiev Posad court acquitted Stepanov again.
