Yan Ksenzhepolsky

Resident of Tver (Centre of European Russia). Detained on 6 June 2022 and brought to Moscow. As part of the case against the anti-war movement "Vesna", accused of creating an extremist community, disseminating disrespectful information about the days of military glory by a group of persons, public calls for actions against the security of the state by an organised group, disseminating deliberately false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation by a group of persons with a motive of hatred. On 8 June he was taken into custody. In July, Ksenzhepolsky said that law enforcers tried to recruit him while in the pre-trial detention centre. In October, it was reported that he had not been receiving food and clothing parcels for weeks. In January 2024, Ksenzhepolski's support group reported that he had not received some of the parcels sent to him in the pre-trial detention centre.
