She is an activist of Emigration for Action and its successor Just Help - projects in Georgia that help victims of war in medical, psychological and social spheres. In the past, she was a member of Navalny's headquarters in St. Petersburg. In 2021, a case was opened against her for stealing a phone from a taxi driver. According to the SOTA publication, citing the Anti-War Committee's consul Margarita Kuchusheva, she was detained a month after the charges were filed and the phone, which was allegedly found during a search, she saw only during interrogation. Yemelyanova left Russia after the outbreak of war. On 31 August 2025, she was detained in Kazakhstan and placed in custody to consider her extradition to Russia. On 10 February 2026, the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan granted the request for Yemelyanova's extradition.
