Yuri Belenky

Resident of Moscow. On 28 September 2025 he was detained after his return from Bulgaria and the next day was arrested for 13 days under the administrative article on petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences). After leaving the special detention centre on the night of 11-12 October he was detained again. On 13 October, the court remanded him to custody on charges of financing terrorism: according to the investigation, he transferred money to the accounts specified by blogger Arkadiy Babchenko in order to finance the AFU and a certain terrorist organisation. Babchenko said that he did not receive any money from Belenky and that he collected money only for the humanitarian needs of the AFU, i.e. medical aid.
