Yuri Kropotin

Vice-Speaker of the Altai Territory Legislative Assembly, member of the CPRF. On 5 February 2026, he was searched and detained in a fraud case. According to the investigation, he fictitiously employed a fellow party member as his assistant, and embezzled the money allocated from the budget for her salary. On 7 February, Kropotin was elected a measure of restraint in the form of a ban on certain actions. Party associates consider the case to be part of a political campaign. In November 2025, a case with a similar background was opened against another CPRF deputy of the Zakselection Assembly Lyudmila Klyushnikova and her assistant Svetlana Kerber, who were also accused of fraud.
