Biography
Yuri Zhdanov, a resident of the Rostov Oblast, is the father of Ivan Zhdanov, director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation. On 26 March 2021, Yuri Zhdanov was detained in a case of abuse of power. The next day the court placed him in custody. In May, the charge was changed to fraud and official forgery. On 20 December 2021, Zhdanov was sentenced to three years' suspended sentence. On 29 December, he was detained, accused of violating his recognisance bond, and was again sent to custody. On 17 February 2022, the appeal court replaced the suspended sentence with imprisonment.
