Yurii Sergeechev

A resident of Adygeysk. On 29 April 2025, a search was conducted at his home. He was detained and questioned, and the following day, he was remanded in custody in connection with alleged involvement in the activities of the Jehovah’s Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremism-related articles exclusively because of their religious activities, including holding meetings and worship services and recruiting new adherents. On 22 December 2025, Sergeechev was sentenced to four years’ suspended imprisonment.
