Yury Izmailov

Resident of Novosibirsk. In 2022, faced pressure from law enforcers because of participation in an environmental action. In February 2024 Izmailov was fined because of the slogan "Glory to Ukraine" in a private conversation. On 21 August 2024, he was detained after a search. According to an acquaintance, violence was used against him: he was hit his head twice on the floor. Izmailov became ill, he bled and had an epileptic seizure. A case of preparation to participate in a terrorist organisation was opened against him because of his alleged intention to join the "Russian Volunteer Corps". On 23 August Izmailov was placed in custody. In December 2025, it became known that Izmailov was also accused of high treason.
