Zaur Ismailov

MMA fighter, resident of Moscow. In December 2025, he was detained in a case of desecration of a monument because of a video of a training session at the monument to Ministry of Emergency Situations veterans near the Slavyansky Bulvar metro station. On one of the figures of the monument he practised exercises with a sports harness and simulated blows to the body. Ismailov was detained after his video was circulated by whistleblower, right-wing blogger Vladislav Pozdniakov, as well as pro-war and pro-government bloggers. On December 8th, the fighter was taken into custody.

Ismailov has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
