Zhanna Zhavoronkova

A resident of Nizhny Novgorod region, she works as an outfitter of locomotive crews. On 2 December 2024, she was questioned in hospital after suffering a stroke. She was charged with participation in the activities of an extremist organisation due to her involvement with the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely because of their religious activities - holding meetings and worship services and attracting new supporters.
